I used the power bisquiter (on loan), a number 10 biscut, some
plummer's putty, and I forget what I used for glue, but I hope it will hold up.
Another shot of the repair, the jig saw in the foreground is ours
and too wimpy (as I soon learned) to cut 3/4" pine, so to do cutting the table saw couldn't
(turns, acute angles, ...) I used the Makita Reciprocating Saw, which really is the better
tool for the job.
I finnished cutting the inner peices and dry assembled the keel,
the plastic resin glue should be in the store around Friday
I held everything in place with duct tape, I need more clamps
The stern pieces should all be the same
length, they are not, I will
take care of this soon.
Two people came over today, and they did all the work I assigned them too,
the jobs I had them do were measuring and lofting, and nailing for the batten, also holding the trouble
light while I am cutting was a useful job the guy to the left did.
Steve here is marking something, but not semi-blindly as it might appear in this
shot. He made all the measurements for the bottom of the boat.
The nice and subtle curve made
