Gaps were caulked

Another shot of the chalking process

The bottom extentions for a wider beam were hard to cut (because of a small descretion), and even harder to get them symetrical (I can imagine that a symetrical boat is fairly important for smooth sailing). These two pieces were the best I had and were just glued on this night, they will be attached with screws and a jointer tomorrow.
